Dunno, Ike,
Was sitting here reading this - and strangely, all I could think of was Werner Herzog...from "Burden of Dreams" (the doc about the making of "Fitzcarraldo")...they were all going insane in the jungle trying to shoot the movie. At one point, he looks into the camera and says - the birds are in misery. I don't think they - they sing. They just screech in pain.
