Beg to differ - but after the fiasco this summer...and what "delayed assays" cost the companies - to say nothing about the shareholders - in terms of time and money, I would think the backlash will be a ready acceptance of this new tech. The pluses are extraordinary...whole-core assays...produced in a non-destructive manner (where those samples can be retained for future checks, if need be)...lower staff requirements...faster turn-around time. What is not to like?
I would offer a "gentleman's bet" ($5) that the present labs will be looking at incorporating this new tech into their services within the next couple of years. It will move very quickly!
