I think you are confused. Sprott handled the 73 millions share private placement that closed this summer. Sprott doesn't own those shares... their clients do. I believe in the company, but their shares are highly speculative, as are most of the other companies in this sector.

I too bought some UEX shares in 2009/10 on the cheap after the price went down the tubes following the financial crisis. The price went from $0.25 to about $2.50. It looked like a sure bet. Then Fu@kushima hit and the share price caved. I'm still waiting for those shares within my RRSP to recover to my ACB. So as long as you can live with that possibility, go ahead and put some money into UEX within your RRSP. But the big problem with that, is that you cannot use any capital loss in those shares to offset and capital gains you may have elsewhere outside your RRSP. Just some sound financial advice.
