For the nerds among usI'll be totally honest. I do not understand this post at all. It is from AK77 on ST and I thought some of you techno-whizzes might find it interesting. If you can dumb it down for the rest of us, that would be great:
here is one reason QNX is a great innovation play.
On a chip there are a number 2 way toggles,.. billions trillions etc ....
A toggle can represent a 1 or a zero, depending on whether it is "on" or "off"..it can only be on or off .
QNX is a quantum computing chip. It uses qubits as the toggle. A qubit can be in one place or the other like a normal chip toggle and thus can represent a 1 or a zero by being in " place A" or " Place B". A qubit also inherently contains the spooky quality of being able to be in both places at once. Superposition its called. This sh*t creeped out Einstein .
The net effect for computing is that essentially the core programs can run using these toggles in a "baked in" impenetrable format while less critical programs run right over the same toggle and use the same toggle, as the qubit can be both on or off or on and on .the same toggle can be running critical hard wired systems and android right over the top of it on the same chip.
