RE:RE: dutch auction outcome...I agree it was a bad timing, in that the company will now have to spend more to cancel the shares. But being competely transparent about it was the most shareholder friendly thing to do. A huge part of the shareholders are friends/insiders with the management, so there is an even greater reason to show them respect by being honest about all that was coming. I for one would have been upset to have tendered my shares without knowing about the dividend, the NCIB and anything that had certainly been discussed among insiders. So at least, let us appreciate the honesty and respect.
