RE:RE:Leodevoe ...... Haven't seen this vid before. Frankly I thought you misheard the $5-6K RS. But holy cow you didn't. That he said that is bizarrre.. Who would pay that for an AP. The $800-1200 price point is already ridiculous.
Having wasted that 7 minutes I'll never get back I must say I do have some takeaways.
"We built this from the ground up". No you didn't. You bought the tech and patents. 15 years ago.
"Roughly $60M invested in developing the chipset and radio card. Uh, no. Unless you count every dollar raised and spent by Engim and Yfi as being invested in the tech. Which is hardly accurate.
"This is the worlds first multi channel access point". Really? What about the other ones that were out there since 2003? Another sad attempt to appear "new". And wow is that sucker huge. Instead of under seat installation in a stadium that could be used as the seat, or bench.
"If you tried to connect to the wifi here it would be next to impossible". Well, maybe. Convention spaces have certainly had issues. To equate that with "any large space" is pure bullish!t. Even NFL stadium deployments deliver excellent wifi experiences today.
"We've even around since roughly 2013". Only two years off in that number. No need mentioning the tech is 10 years older than that.
"We've seen some significant traction of late". Yep, "seeing some significant traction since....." should be their motto. Pity it's never sales.
As usual they tell half a story. One that anyone with a browser can see is not very complete. I often wonder if this has ever been an issue. Anyone thinking of doing business with Yfi is going to do some DD. If this is the kind of stuff they tell these folks and then they see the full story would it make them wary? Possibly.

That's per unit. It's almost unbelievable. Did anyone else have an idea that they were up to $6000 a piece?
