RE:RE:RE:RE:Actually... the Conf Call didn't impress meGood factual clarificarion 1student - the vanadium battery for longterm storage of energy will store from new green energy sources  (solar, wind etc) as you stated for times when there is no wind or sun. Also re Cobalt's statement that coal is still used as a primary energy source - what you can do is buy the energy from these sources (if required) when power is being sold cheaply (at night) and store it for use during high energy pricing. Lowers production costs.

Friedlands's VRB Energy has spent millions on developing longterm battery storage. There is a zinc longterm battery also being developed that can store upto 100 hours so maybe use Kipushi's zinc for this battery in the future.
