RE:InterestingSeems like a reasonable assumption at the end of the article.  Lots of activity in AI.  choice is to try to  buy  some existing  situation  or start from scratch and develop  your own.

Guess the  option chosen would depend  on the quality of the available option  and  the  price.

If it was deemed cheaper to 'do it yourself'  , then  that would  be the choice   with the other factor being  time.  buying off the shelf  now  might still be cheaper  since  time to develop  means potential lost opportunity cost.

Still raises the question  - how good is VPT actual product?  Free give aways  at some key hospitals does provide  exposure  for specialists  to  see product in action.  Yet  we still do not see any real uptake.  Given the story  these things should be flying off the shelf.

Another question might be  'Are  these  items  impacted by  the  current 'chip'  shortage.  Since we are now going to manufacture ourselves  is  the shortage a problem  - Though I guess you need sales  to get to that??
