I suspect that if you put a basic Google question you will get your answer and it will clearly tell you that the dividend does not affect the corporate taxable line item, because it is not considered an "expense". There are taxable implications for recipients. It is downright embarrassing that you would even provide an example that shows you have no clue, rather than first looking up whether you should even try to defend your nonsense.

However, it would affect your income amount  for the next year  by the total amount of dividend you paid the shareholders. In other words, let's see you made net 5 million dollars in 2021 and you decide to pau 1 million as dividend to the shareholders in early 2022. Then you can register this amount as your cost for 2022.  BTW, I am not expert on the taxing but this was my understanding on the dividend.

what a dividend will do though ...not that we are anywhere close for KNR to talk about dividends.... is that is a way for big holders of stock like Ghezzi to take some money off the table without having to sell any shares!

i own another company and the owners/ guys that run it who started it before they were traded publicly started to pay dividends that way they get paid every quarter dont have to sell a single share and make extra cash on top of their salary and stockoption/grants as well as having major voting rights when it comes to making decissions.

it would be smart for Ghezzi to possibly consider this sometime in the future ....it would be a smart play on his part especially if the float stays this low.........

having said that people have been touting this conference they are going to be attending i hope that Ghezzi is looking for some sort of deal with a bigger investor does right by us common folk ...we all know that the big fish want sweethart deals when it comes to PP's and if KNR is in fact firing on all cylinders do we really need a PP to raise cash??????
we are making mony hand over fist ...RIGHT?????
