RE: BC Disaster & Gibraltar...

RE: BC Disaster & Gibraltar...Update to clarify what is happening locally in the Cariboo around the mine.

Luckily in Williams Lake, we did not get the torrential rains that the lower mainland got that led to wide scale flooding and mudslides that have cut off access from the Interior to the lower mainland.

The mine got some snow but should not have had any issues with it and would have been business as usual.

The only issue that we are having in this area is that people panicked  and cleaned out the grocery stores.  Gibraltar still has access to rail lines and trucks to export copper to the ports in Prince Rupert and/or to Alberta and beyond.

The province of BC is hoping to get Highway 3 - The Crows Nest Pass open this Sunday as it was the least impacted by the flooding and mudslides.  This would add 5 extra hours to get to Vancouver from Williams Lake.  Currently the only way to get from the lower mainland to the interior of the province is through the state of Washington.
