RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Article!!Yes I hear you...a lot of good points. Gabriel Boric is the real deal...I'm not being influenced by media....my own reading, my own ideas, my own conclusions. Gabriel Boric is the protest generation leftist movement in the making...if he wins the presidency, which he is projected to, look out. Granted, I do actually believe that his platform speaks to many good and necessary changes to bridge that wealth gap...but the mining companies will get hammered with higher taxes...how much is impossible to guess...but it will be significantly more that what is today's current royalty environment. He is a passionate guy, well educated and will make mining much more expensive in Chile if elected. I don't think he is an Argentina...but we certainly dont want any more of those around I hear you on that.
I don't think he is an Argentina......
What does that mean? He is from Punta Arenas way down south where they
fly all missions to the Antartic.
"The Chile I imagine is fairer and more equal; open and democratic:
A Chile which offers security and not uncertainty to the people that
live here"
Does that sound like a communist to anyone? He is a good talker but if
he were to get in (which is still a long shot) he would revert to being far
more central. CHilean politics is very polarized but at the same time they
both move to the center when elected if they want a long career. Many
were concerned when Bakulet got in as a socialist but she moved to the
center won 2 terms and now works for the United Nations.
Take a look at Peru ....their new president was going to destroy mining
and he keeps softening his position. When your in the saddle you realize
how important mining is to revenue, employment, etc but please let us
do it more responsibly. Your arguments do not add up IMHO IKE
