RE:NHHH CEO BADMOUTHING Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) !!!You should do more research. CCS is questionable whether as carbonic acid, or compressed CO2. I watch this very closely, because CCS is the only hope for the Alberta oil fields. Alberta has invested in a Alberta Carbon Trunk pipeline to facilitate carbon capture,. The most successful example is in Saskatchewan where cardon caprture is used to enhance oil field profduction, which make sense in the short ter, but not in the long term. Alberta has doubled down on a blue Ammonia plant. It actually may be good for NHHH, because if it works, it will increase the demand for ammonia over all. I doubt the Blue ammonia will be as cost effective as the NHHH process, but we don't know yet, as no one indendent has seen any ammonia from the NHHH process.
We don't know yet if compressed CO2 will remain underground. The chemical methos beoing pionneered in the UK, may be a solution as the carbonic acid will dissolve balsalt rock to form essentially limestone. But there are a lot of questions.
IAN did not badmouth CCS. He just stated the obvious facts. I hope it works, because it will enable the oil companies to stay in business. Other wise pertroleum is dead or the earth is dead.
