RE:RE:RE:SAD WHAT THIS HAS BECOMEThere is no massive west Texas deposit. It was Chemours Co. and their mineral sand operations are in Georgia, and it's not massive. Look at a map. All of the US Gulf coast deposits combined are tiny compared to what is in Australia alone, not counting south east Asia and W Africa. The NA monazite is going to Energy Fuels for their very small operation which involves shipping their mixed concentrate to Estonia for separation. The Chinese have no REE play in the US, other than MP Materials which is not a monazite mine. The monazite to REE production outside of China and India is all very nascent and there is lots of monazite to go around and lots of room for competition. It could all go alot of different ways for the different companies coming up, but the game is far from over, and Medallion still holds a very solid value proposition. Your claim that everyone has moved on and left Medallion in the dust is not substantiated. Who else anywhere outside of India or China is producing REE from monazite at scale? IMO Medallion went in the right direction by shifting their operations to AU, and the switch from Lay to Saxon who is based in AU was likely not coincidental.
