"The OP is asking an amazing question" . Yes what an amazing question you're right haha. Your obviously short here based on all your posts or you just constantly post negative things for the hell of it with no stake either way. Personally I hope you're short at these levels because it will help with a faster recovery in the future.
So you think there's a chance Shopify will maybe end the world of open advertising on the internet, ok. Is there also a chance they buy a dsp like Acuity and use illumin to run ads for their clients through directly through Shopify like Amazon?
Hi. I'm not the same guy as the OP. I don't know if SHOP will buy a DSP. I just think that there has to be "something there" for SHOP to have some sort of reverse search app for consumers. SHOP has some relationship with GOOG and GOOG has a DSP (I think it's called double click) that competes with AT and TTD (it is a DSP that buys ads on any inventory, not just google), so that might be the answer right there for them allowing merchants to Buy ads on places other than Facebook and Instagram and Pinterest etc etc which is a big part of their traffic. And I just think that SHOP on their own could make an easy way for consumers to search around for stuff with their own merchant base (nothing to do with a DSP or Acuity or anything... Literally just giving people a way to search for stuff their merchants selling).
