The market's reaction to this new variant is way overblown. We've run out of Greek letters after which to name the virus. We will always have new variants. Covid is here to stay. Let's accept this fact and embrace it!

Unless we are complacent with being locked down again, stay home to collect more cheques from the newly-minted trillions of dollars and pay $30 for a loaf of bread. I personally am so fed up that I don't give a damn any more. I'd rather risk my life with whatever new variants than to die of insanity.

If the sell off will protract, it's not because of fear, but because of an excessive amount of margin being utilized. People, for months, have been exuberant about how well they're doing because they've been making whatever percentage on a stock while only paying 2% to service the debt. My bank has been ruthlessly chasing me to shove several hundred thousand dollars down my throat.  It was tempting, but I know I'm neither a bull nor a bear; I'm a pig; the best I can do for myself is not to be a fat one.
