Mexico, US, Canada lineI don't know if enough people grasp what it means to have a system whereby rraw commodities and manufactures goods as well as shipped items among other materials can be performed by CP rail through Mexico, US and Canada ..assumng all of KCS's lines and considering lines CP already has in the US and Canada, ..
CP albet smaller than Union Pacific with ~83,000km of track and after the KCS deal CP will have ~16,000 km of track, I think it is imporant to consider the placement of rail over the amount of rail. the KCS line CP will own goes through the heart of the mid west in Chicago, St. Louis, Kanasas City, out to the Gulf Coast and over through Dallas and through Huston and down into Mexico.
Geographically the line couldnt be better and I think time will show that the 25 billion cash and stock deal, albeit huge, was a steal considering the abilities and effiecncy of transport CP can offer its clients.
