Observations - from trip to Florida So I traveled from Western Canada to Florida for a week holiday.
The holiday was great! Not too busy and short lines at any tourist location. What I observed was as follows:
Airports: Canada airports pretty much empty. Not much traffic or people around. Wild to see.
USA airports - busy, maybe 80% of previous.
Uber - expensive as F***. prices have gone considerably up.
Food - Decent priced and restaurants quite busy. Had to wait or book tables. Many restaurants had more tables, but not enough staff, so closing sections that can't cover.
Hotels - Quite busy, with any ideal locations booked
Help wanted signs EVERYWHERE, I mean EVERYWHERE. Constructions companies, restaurants, hotels, clothing shops, manufacturers. The limiting resource there looks to be people.
I am a fan of CHR, but was surprised that the CDN airports were that dead. Little disheartening.
As for testing, super easy and available everywhere. We were screened and tested again crossing the boarder back into Canada.
