RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Support @ 49.44-49.08-48.76 Resistance @ 50.12-50.44-50.80Hey Walt
Always nice to hear from you. I hope all ia going well with your investments and life in general.
All is top-shelf out this way. The old annual dividend income continues to grow and I'm expecting some big increases from our 4 banks this week (BMO,BNS,RY,TD).
Just to be clear, I'm still totally fine with keeping our full position in ENB. ENB is a bit of a drama queen but I think it will be more than fine over the next 3-5 years and that the divy is very safe. I suspect that dividend increases will be quite muted going forward with the new uncertanly on Mainline. It's also worth noting that TRP has reduced its dividend growth projections to 3-5% per year so it's not just ENB.
My comment was really directed to what to do with new cash especially for someone that might only hold 3-5 stocks. I think that type of portfolio is very risky. I personally wouldn't hold less than 12-15 (we have 17 and have the same book value for each so very evenly distributed).
Anyway, I guess if it was me, I'd keep an even amount in both ENB and TRP. We also own KEY and PPL but they tend to be more volatile.
Take her easy

Glad to see that you're still around and posting. I had been considering swapping my ENB position to my TRP position for some time. I should have done it right before the last dividend was paid, but I got sick for a couple weeks and missed that opportunity.
Seeing your post now, I think I'll swap out half my position for TRP/EMA, as ENB can't seem to avoid some sort of bad news for long enough to allow the stock to sustain any sort of rally and at this point, I'm moving on. I'm surprised Al Monaco doesn't get more of an earful on investor day
Take it easy and hope you're well.
