Casavantsghost, I suspect that you're correct. The EU and Great Britain would be two more important jurisdictions to hold a patent. Quite frankly though I'm way out on a limb here though as patent law is not one of my better-read subjects. I have confirmed however that a patent is only good within the jurisdiction which issued it so today's news only applies to the US market.
