RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Markets Heavily Down on Friday Due to What Now??? Oh a newThanks NoRetire and sorry to hear of your situation.
I dont have a complaint but rather the observation that Covid is endemic meaning it is here to stay so lockdowns, restrictions only serve to slow the transmission at best. In Canada, federally, we spent $650 billion (36 million ppl) to combate the spread of the viruse via stay at home and get paid policy while not funding health care and taxing those that work there and essentially bankrupting the nation.
My thoughts are why not spend $300 billion to keep those at risk away from work while spending $300 billion to set up covid centres, train staff. Covid treatment is not overly complex so we don't need surgeons etc it is mostly admin some medication, monitoring and ventilators. So today we would have had trained staff, and designated treatement centres while regular health care and procedures can resume. If we going to go bankrupt as a nation at least fund health care during a endemic.

I am trying to find the truthful accurate stats but believe that very few, if any, vaccinated people have died directly from COVID (read about man who dies of stroke while fighting COVID). The same cannot be said about the unvacc'ed. Congrats on being double vac'ed, as am I.
I was allegic to polio vac and it almost killed me but I still took COVID vax even though I already have compromised breathing issues (only have 1.5 lungs). Doctors couldn't tell me for sure if I was safe or not (due to similar vax construction to Polio vax) but I took anyway because there are medical staff to help with immediate issues, if any.
To do nothing but complain is useless. Come up with better alternatives instead of hindering all the good natured well meaning afforts to stop COVID.
