RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:USB-C portsHundreds of millions, almost all of which include the cables at no cost.  And if the devices become obsolete due to USB port obsolescence, then the pollution from all of the many years of sales would be a lot more than the cables.  Check the port in your automobile.  Unless it is really new, it likely has a USB-A port.  Square plug.  USB-C ports are oval, and rotationally symetrical.  Likely the same on your laptop.
