Sorry but the US patent office has already issued patents on various USB-C connectors to numerous companies based on various functionalities. It is typically not the connector itself that is the patent, but rather the functionality that the one or more chips that are part of the connector provides. So no, I do not expect this to be a game changer for Quarterhill.
