RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:USB-C ports cabbie- Justhalffull says " the US patent office has already issued patents on various USB-C connections to numerous companies based upon various functionalities.
I have shown factual that INTEL has USB-type C ( Connector System Software Interface IP that
requires Adopter Agreement or license for these standard essential patents.
I have never said Wilan will get payment on every cable and device that uses USB_Type C connector.
What I believe is Wilan is part of numerous partnerships with respect to this IP.
If EU is succesful in passing this law, then Apple for one will have to adopt the USB Type-C port as standard.
Cabbie -You make the point , the IP will still need to be enforced.
I have one brief comment to make on enforcement IMO.
If Eu is successful in passing the law, Apple will have no choice but to obey the law, if not they could be held in contempt of law by EU. If they went to court, Apple would surely lose and may be held liable for damages claimed by corporation re its IP. Apple could have injunction placed on them for any Apple products sold in EU.
I am finished on topic USB-Type C.
As proven by INtel fact memo I advissed you , in 2008 over 2 billion units shipped.and number
in 2021 is countless billions ( 4 billion?) Every offfice tower, home may use USB-typeC.
The pie is big enough to share.
