History is relevant.   It show Consistency in performance and how it's performed throughout market conditions.   

1.63% over 10 years is actually very good for the sector this fund is in.   What's the performance of CVE, BTE, ATH, MEG.....etc..... over 10 years..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

All just my opinion/view/thinking
