What is interesting back then was that word had leaked out that they were going buy the oil company and so the stock price went up and never went down. Canada paid a huge price to buy it.
At the time I had some friends who worked for the Auditor General and suggested that they look into it. They did...studied it and agreed with me but nothing ever happened at the political level.
