RE:Breaking News - Safe Banking Removed from NDAAWhile it looks like Chucky and Booker are determined to keep the cartels in control of the cannabis industry, as they are just starting to get the fentanyl laced product on every street corner of the US...they need more time to increase the fentanyl saturation across the country and in full control before any more elections.
The world needs the SAFE banking back in the NDAA before it is passed no matter how ever long that takes. JMHO...Opt
That said, it’s still possible that the newly negotiated legislation could be further revised. The House Rules Committee is expected to take up the measure on Tuesday, and Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), the chief sponsor of the SAFE Banking Act, who is a member of the panel, says he will file an amendment to add his cannabis provisions to the bill.
“Rep. Perlmutter is disappointed the SAFE Banking Act is not included in the NDAA bill text released today,” Ashley Verville, a spokesperson for the congressman, told Marijuana Moment. “The Senate insists on burying its head in the sand and deny every opportunity to reform our outdated cannabis laws to align state and federal law to improve public safety. As a result, Rep. Perlmutter plans to file an amendment to the NDAA at the Rules Committee which would add the SAFE Banking Act back to the bill.”
While the SAFE Banking Act was included in the House version of the NDAA that passed in October, it remains to be seen whether Democratic leaders in the Senate including Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Cory Booker will allow SAFE to pass as part of the NDAA in the upcoming conference process.
