RE:Vancouver - Sydney FlightThere are 2 other developments of note.
Fact one is that the Carribean routes and Hawaiian Islands were serviced by 320s and 767s precovid. Currently those routes are largely served by 777s, 788/9s and A330s. Even the 737s have more capacity than the 319s and 320s. Because the demand and therefore the bookings are there.
Fact 2 is that Business class and premium Economy demand and bookings are now back up. You don't even have to have the numbers reported by the beancounters. You can see the numbers when they call the rows for boarding and when you walk through the cabins on your way to your seat.
I like to note the last one especially as detractors have noted business bookings are down...Not any more.
One last note is that through my family that lives in Australia, the government and definitely the people are saying the O variant is the last one that they will let slow down the economy. Once this one is over it will be full steam ahead down under. Good thing those AC crews are getting their reps going to the Caribbean and California as Rouge 10 noted the demand for Australia is not any less than it was back in 2019.
