RE:RE:RE:Appian had a competing bid..Doubtful as Appian offer came after SLR showed their interest for a credit-bid transaction.

In any case, any future competing bid under SISP would be for a complete asset take over as proposed by SLR. The fact that Appian holds a substantial portion of the current shares provides them no advantage in such a calculation. All that matters for any bidder is the prercieved value of the assets and liabilities included in the "stalking horse" bid. And that's where SLR holds an edge over Appian: (i) they are a mine operator and (ii) they acquired the BNPP loan on a non-zero discount. They also have a higher voice in the secured creditor's approval vote required to complete the CCAA process.
