Evergrande has just defaulted on it's debt and they are a big player but a small part of the property market in China. Evergrande is just one of the many corrupt property funds like the hedge funds that are honeycombed and interwoven with one another. When a big player defaults the other funds that have investments tied in with one another start to collapse. The government printing machines go into overdrive,that is what is happening in China now.
