RE:RE:RE:RE:Stockpile ProcessingAvocado
The stockpile was much smaller than they initially thought. They ran the numbers every which way but loose and came up with just total of 25,000 cubic yards! I am not sure why you are wasting time calculating off a sq metre. They trenched, they drilled and conducted arial surveys on the pit!
The interesting thing with their drilling is that it should have been way off but not on the low side but on the high side for the same reason you are siting about the rain fall over time. Rotary drilling is simply precussion drilling so they are pulverizing the stockpile. When you do that the heavy metal ie gold are released and fall to the bottom of the hole. So in theory the bottoms of the holes should have all been loaded with gold. They were not! Another tell tales sign that the gold is not very good in the stockpile.
To actually get a better indication of how much gold there is take you stockpile trench results and drill results cap them at 10gpt then average them. Then take the dimensions of the stockpile and do a block model same as you would for an open pit mine. Calculate the gold in each block then add them together. However, to be conservative throw out the top 3 blocks. If it makes that much of a difference get your gold pan out and pan off those three blocks throw your hands up in the air and so WTF have I done lol!
