Diggin; One of the great things about democracies is

Diggin; One of the great things about democracies is they generally allow free speech .

Now Canadians could simply ignore the issues to the south of the border - other than 90% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the USA Canada border.- thus  we are the mouse sleeping beside the elephant.

Now bog may have more education and knowledge that some would like to have - however unless he is making racist, homophobic, or ugly comments etc  why are you concerned?

While I am not a US citizen - 1/2 my family are  - so I have more interest than some in US politics;

- a few comments
   - scary when 18% of the population can control the US senate = not my understanding of Representation by Population

   - gerrymandering (sp) = is a very scary concept = think of it as Ghetto's for white people?

  - January 6th is very very concerning = however I do think that any investigation should get into the issue of "why- so many people are angry"??? The election result is only a result = not the cause.

It is interesting how so many think that socialism is part of communism and dont appreciate that some things can be done more efficently with the State being involved.

Here in the frozen north we have "Socialized Medicine " with the result that we cover ALL residents at a cost that is 40% less - on a per capita basis THAN  in the USA

In the north we also have heavily subsidized post secondary education = no horendous  fees like the prestigious USA universities = yet our universities are some of the best in the world

We also have much higher taxes = sales tax, income tax, capital gains tax at death etc with the result that we have many fewer Billionaires, much less income & wealth disparity!

One country  to look at is Norway= a wonderful socialistic country where  they have great common wealth, great respect for the environment and enjoyment of the same.

Things to think about and debate so we all learn!

And remember most of us are only here on a one trip ticket = so enjoy  it !

Now back to NCU, Vlad, copper etc.

Rock
