It was just a low volume pre-holiday trading Friday although there was some strong interest as the session ended . Omni-con is turning out to be a false alarm ,
whether by plane or by car , people will be travelling and demand will remain strong . Every day supply becomes more constrained by neglect but the talking heads have the sheep watching an SPR release and lockdown threats .When demand over-runs supply , prices will spike and leftwing support will tank .
Disagree my friend!!
I just cancelled my trip to the Turks and Caicos due to all the hassles regarding rules for getting there and the new rules for getting back to Canada - just not worth it.
The US has also imposed a 24 hour test requirement to get into the country by air which for all intents and purposes makes travelling by air to the US impractical or risky in the event of a negative antigen test which are unreliable and give lots of false positives and travel insurance won't cover this. Germany is in bad shape and the rest of Europe will likely follow suit as the numbers get higher.
WRT to the US I was kidding a few friends the other day. Thanks to Biden's nonesense, if you go by land from Canada to the US you only need to prove vaccination. If you go the to US by air you need a positive test 24 hours before you travel. If you go to Mexico and walk across the Rio Grande, you don't need anything and they will give a free bus ticket or plane fare to where you want to go...lol
How long this will last is anybody's guess but for now it will cause a lot of people to rethink their international travel due to the rules risks. The other thing, and this has happened to friends of mine going to the US, one travels and they change the rules before you are scheduled to come back..,..adds to the risk of travel
Soooo...IMO, this is going to impact travel and hence oil demand until all this is sorted out.
