RE:Great close on Friday for VUL.

RE:Great close on Friday for VUL.' with all the right metrics to become a long-term player in the continental East Coast road salt market that currently relies heavily on

Just to put this in perspective, virtually all of the East Coast, USA is serviced by imports. East Coast meaning states that buy, North Carolina and up, and as wide out to the PA/ Ohio border both up and down. That's a big market, about 100 million people.
Shipping dry bulk prices have gone thru the roof. Salt exporters, Chile...Egypt...etc are now paying 5-7 times what it previously cost. At my company what used to cost $3k a container from Asia, now is costing $20-24k to bring in. This will translate to over $100 ton for next years salt season, and will probably stay re-rated for years to come. Demetree knows this which is why he'll move this coming Spring after the FS. Pocket change in the big picture for Stone Canyon.
