RE:RE:Good buying opportunityThumbs up Silkos as everything you wrote is true. I agree that there are better buy opportunities than ENB in the O&E industry now. Pipeline investments simply can't compete when times are good for oil.
One thing that keeps me in ENB is the opportunity to trade around the ex-divdend date each quarter. If I'm not mistaken, you have been using the same strategy. Instead of picking up the dividend, I target $2 trading wins each quarter and play it by ear. My average win has been about $3 per quarter for the past 3 years as I got lucky with bigger share price drops after the Q4 dividend from 2019 and again this past quarter in particular.
Instead of pulling the wins out each quarter, I have been pounding them back into more ENB shares. As a result, I have doubled my position in ENB in 3 years. I know the strategy is not for everyone because of the added risk of the share price increasing before you buy back in, but the strategy has worked every time. That may be just dumb luck, but I'm going to keep working it until it stops working.
Q says that I'm a DBag and Molly/Moe/Trevor/Jane etcr say I'm a narcissist and Fiddy just says whatever nasty thought comes to mind that day for sharing my analysis and thinking.
I don't get the negative thinking as I can assure you that I have zero to gain by sharing. That's not entirely true, as I have become great friends with one poster and have been introduced to a few winning trades by others that share info via PM's, for which I'm most grateful.
It seems to me that win-wins should be the objective.
