On Tuesday, November 5th,, 2019, at approximately 7:05 a.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported stolen trailer located in the area of McEwan Drive and Nixon Road in Bolton.
As the officers were responding to a call, several shots were heard being fired nearby. The officers located and arrested a suspect, who was in possession of a firearm. The firearm was seized.
As a result, Jameson PATRY, 34, of Mississauga, was charged with the following offences:
- Assault with a weapon;
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose;
- Discharge firearm with intent;
- Pointing a firearm, and
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
The accused is expected to appear at the Orangeville Court of Justice on November 7th, 2019, to answer to the charges.
