We all buy and sell for our own reasons ...our own reasons...which can be many
I bought a low priced income producing asset that took a hit due to covid. Management is using "Our" money to reinvest in the business, buy back shares, and presumably build a solid cash balance before it is our turn.
In the meantime we may not be getting more cash but we are owning a moree valuable company
That is why I am here
WRT inflation, that is why not all eggs are in one basket. If you are a prudent individual, you have a portfolio...where individual investments and savings have a purpose.

Hey Russter, you have wrote about why this stock doesn't fit your goals. Why not sell out and buy something else? I think oil pipelines might be good for you since you are worried about inflation and I assume you want a high yield.
Plenty of cases out there where co's tried to sustain a dividend using debt and hope. Most of them had their share price's collapse.
Retained earnings best spent on NCIB while market conditions are weak. There won't be discounted shares when dividend is back.
We had TheLongView make the case for NCIB over dividend. Shares are discounted, time to buy; that's what's best for the business. This is time to let the business heal and get stronger.
Management and BOD have been through floods, fires and more. They know what's best, they've got more shares than anyone on the planet.
Make hay while the sun shines boys. Won't be long before Kasking is back chipping away at the net earnigns. Gotta build the cash reserves for jackpots and his winning streaks.
