Serious question: Are we stuck at this level for months?

I know we should HODL but since I bought when the train was leaving and I have been hearing ever since that it's leaving but volume has dried out. This stock is evidently shorted, how long will this remain? I hope this won't be another bloodshed of 1 year like in some of my stocks lol. :)
