RE:Nyrstar's Auby raises the white flag....Best part of the news report:
"There will be no impact on permanent employment at the operation, which employs 297 people in total. Employee duties will be redirected to focus on maintenance, training and investment projects while the electrolyser is not producing zinc."
Of course, in France, it is very difficult and expensive to layoff unneeded employees, so I am wondering how long these 297 staff members can continue to polish the floors and the toilets, before Nyrstar runs out of that lifeblood of busines known as "cash".
