RE:RE:Nyrstar's Auby raises the white flag....There are 11 zinc smelters in Europe with a total capacity of about 2.2 million tonnes or about 15% of total world capacity.  Two of them have announced temporary closure due to high energy costs (Portovesme in Italy and Auby in France) and several others have announced unspecified production cutbacks for the same reason.  Very bullish for the price of zinc and should eventually be positive for treatment charges.  All good for Noranda.
