RE:RE:RE:NOT THE DATA WE WANTI've seen the sample size for Denmak, and it's so small, it's meaningless. However, the Ontario Science Advisory group (mostly a bunch of left leaning doctors from UofT) didn't seem to have a problem using the Danish data to justify their own projections. The Danish chart (cases vs hospitalizations) is telling. Since early Oct, Danish cases and hospitalizatons rose fairly dramatically at about the same rate, all due to the Delta variant. However in the last month, as Omicron entered the country, cases have shot up dramatically while the rate of hospitalizations have increased at a much more gradual rate. From Oct 1 to Nov 15th, hospitalizations due to Delta increase from 15 patients per million to 75 patients per million. However in the last month, this rate of increase levelled off to a more gradual rate. In actual numbers, since the middle of Nov until this week, hospitalization numbers have only increased by about 80 (435 to 517).
One doctor has commented that omicron is half way between covid-19 and the flu.
Cheers!
