From a Globe and Mail article today: One study that drew plenty of media attention this week was conducted by researchers at the University of Hong Kong involving patients with COVID-19. The researchers found that in their study group Omicron was 70 times more likely than Delta to be found in the bronchus – the part of the airway at the entrance to the lungs – and 10 times less likely than the original version of the virus to occupy lung tissue. While this study has also not been peer-reviewed, it offers some indication about how Omicron may lead to less severe outcomes.
Change 'may' to 'will' and you get the message.
