He makes some very important points here...
For example, Pat scored 100% on several detection tests, but since the evaluators made negative comments about certain aspects of said detection, they were given marks below 3.0.
Also, only two knives were used in the 1.4 evaluation, as opposed to several in 1.1. If there was a certain knife that didn't detect well, and it forms half of the total results, instead of say, 5 or 10%, then it is going to skew the results in a very negative manner. Wouldn't be surprised if the knife had an aluminum or ceramic core to make it lighter.
These inconsistencies would easily bump Pat from 2.5 to 2.8 or 2.9.
