Let's take a proper look at Debt to Equity Ratio

Let's take a proper look at Debt to Equity Ratio

Let’s prove why our lone basher (note the singular here) masquerading with several id's is a pathetic person hell bent on punishing this company and any retail investors along with it. This is not a pump but is the proper way to look at Debt to Equity.

So basher, are you trying to educate us little old retail investors? Let's discuss debt equity for the sake of all retail investors here. According to you, it's an omen of doom for Chalice. So, let's take a closer look.

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/debtequityratio.asp

What is the Debt Equity Ratio? Specifically, Debt Equity reflects the ability of shareholder equity to cover all outstanding debts in the event of a business downturn. It is most often used to gauge the extent to which a company is taking on debt as a means of leveraging its assets. A high D/E ratio is often associated with high risk; it means that a company has been aggressive in financing its growth with debt.

I think your attempt to use the indicator as a harbinger of doom for the company is always patently false. Why do I say that? I say that because you haven’t done a shred of comparative analysis like below. Here we see CHALF ranked more or less middle of the pack against its market cap peers. Not exactly on the verge of imminent destruction.

Based on Oct Numbers

WEED 6,892.44                 1.69B 10.44 39.50

You may have notice I also included current ratio along with total debt and that’s because it’s a better predictor of things to come used in conjunction with debt ratio.

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/currentratio.asp

Current Ratio is a liquidity ratio that measures a company's ability to pay short-term obligations or those due within one year. It tells investors and analysts how a company can maximize the current assets on its balance sheet to satisfy its current debt and other payables.  A current ratio below 1.00 could indicate that a company might struggle to meet its short-term obligations, whereas ratios of 1.50 or greater would generally indicate ample liquidity.

Let’s take a closer look.

Again Chalice is is more or less middle of the pack. No doomsday imminent as Chalice is predicting to grow revenue substantially through new Retail stores which also increases their equity.

Again with Oct Numbers

If only you put as much effort into research as you did in bashing you might not be in the position you’re in today. Please don’t cherry pick facts and figures without doing some modicum of peer comparison.
