RE:This really smellsMy apologies to all for my previous post. I was wrong about saying they must have known.
I just received a copy of the letter sent to the MVLWB from Acho Dene Koe First Nations dated Dec. 17. It is this band that put the kybosh on the winter road due to both the government and the proponent failure on their duty to consult with them. They state that they were not mentioned specifically in the management plan but were lumped in with the other bands generally and were excluded from monitoring the construction. I think this is the same band that tried unsuccessfully to send the project back for another environmental assessment a short time ago.
