Obituary
McDonald, Raymond “Ray”. Passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Hospital on December 5, 2021 at the age of 79 years. He was the son of Alexander and Pearl McDonald. Beloved husband of Doreen McDonald (nee Fleming). He leaves in sorrow his siblings Paul McDonald (pre-deceased) (Bonnie) and Mary MacCuaig (late Bruce), his children Susan Cox (Jim), Dean McDonald (Lori), Laurie Tavares (Paul), Brad McDonald (Bonnie), grandchildren MacKenzie Cox, Adrianna Cox, Victoria Cox and Alexandre McDonald, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends.
For several years, Ray had limited use of his right hand, but this did not stop him from accomplishing a lot. He was a proud farmer who worked hard baling hay, milking cows, and harvesting crops in Alexandria, Ontario. He always looked forward to family celebrations, fishing over the side of the pier chatting with all the other anglers, and annual road trips to Daytona with the family. He enjoyed many hobbies from making and flying model planes, to woodworking, to watching a good ol’ hockey or lacrosse game.
