RE:RE:Well health stock long holder, long time user of clinics. As a Canadian I'm use to medical services being pathetic. I'm 51 and it's nearly impossible to find a family doctor that is excepting new patients. I'm not bsing either. The one I did find was the WELL one discribed in the blog, no wonder he was excepting . I know our doctors are overworked here and it was the receptionist that made the experience suck, but It is always like that. I watched an American Greed episode where the doctor had a opiate pill mill writing prescriptions to anyone who wanted them. The FBI investor said one of the things that tipped them off was that the doctors was seeing 40 patients a day! 40! In Canada they are capped at 55 a day, because they get paid per visit by the government and before the cap 70+ wasn't unheard of. Now with the cap at 55 doctors offices close 5-6 hrs into the day if they only have one doctor because they don't get paid for the 56th+ patient. So In the US seeing 40 patients a day is a sign of a Criminal enterprise in Canada that's done by noon. Go figure. But hey it's free! Another misconception, 50+ % of the taxes the government brings in goes to pay our free medical, 50% which equal about 13% of my paycheque.
