At least with Fidel everyone knew who was in charge and his word was good. You may not like his word, but he honored his word. Today, sadly, Cuba is a couple bad hurricanes and earthquakes away from the utter chaos of Haiti. The government won't sell out to the Americans, ever, but they will be very tempted to take money from China with strings attached. As they did with the soviets. It's getting desperate. Sad.
