The E-2 is standard with the Next Generation FMS system which as lots of fuel and efficieny data analysis and collection along with Future ATM functionality. Plus I believe it is already AMDAR compatible from the factory.
Not a huge loss for FLYHT as the E-2 is about the same production numbers as the A220, but does show the non-changing airline airframers are starting to change towards the technology.
