MAGNESIUM SHORTAGE - CHINA

MAGNESIUM SHORTAGE - CHINAIn the Shaanxi Province, a critical magnesium-producing region in China, 35 of the 50 magnesium plants have been shut down to date. ... If the shortage persists, there is a risk that the current stocks of magnesium in Europe, and Germany in particular, a key importer of this metal, could exhaust by the end of 2021.Nov 3, 2021

Interesting -  could assist the junior - if -  rlg ever revamped thier 43 101 and knew what exactly they have in - Mg + Mn. When a junior is too ( 2 dimentional ) only thinks of gold - peerhapsmore Canadian gold junoors should sift their ores and begin capturing all the more minerals - in my opinion far too many concentrates leave Canada - while another - captures all the additional mineral credits.

Magnesium Purity -  One could walk dow nthe road of yesteryears and inform themself of the Timminco Magnesium Production facility - that once was - in Ontario. And soon find out, they decided to close operations because it was far more profitable outsourcig.  Where have we heard that before ?  It's a Global trend.  All roads lead to, China.

GOOD READ -

https://www.usitc.gov/publications/701_731/pub2443.pdf

Discusses the indifferences between Pure Mg and Alloy Mg.
lol - sorry have ot laugh - giggles - while reading the report - and thinking along the lines of how
most all of the supply chain has dramatically changed - not to mention - the discussion in this report that tires it's  damdest to compare the two kinds of magnesium resulting in, each are the same product.

But.. .if one rolls the ticker tape forward and truly scopes out what is, and what is not pure, could we point our compasses towards the battery metals sector -  could we use the other salt metals as comparison as t owhat is needed for purity - for optimal performance ?

I would say.... unequivocally - yes.
There is a difference  when it comes to - degrees of purity.
Which involves the dendrite conumdrum.
Purest forms of metals -  reduce the amount of dendrite buildups.
Therefore ,higher the purity of a salt metal such as, Mg, or Li, or any other, needs to have the highest purity for optimal performance.

One could go next level up - and ask the question - how does China handle the pricesof metals and then, revert back to the report in link above - and.. .well... you know.

So... what ever happened to Timminco's magnesium processing plant equipt ?
That's how my mind thinks... wink.
Did they  sell it off, or is it still with in the facility - in tact - lying dormant ?

Back in 2006, it was valued at, 1.25/mil ( equipt )
Just thought i'd mention this... lol

Ahhh... Globalism.
Restructuring the manufacturing and supply chains.
Is this world running on the right path -  allowing one to produce nearly all, or, should more countries revert back to self dependency ? If one truly understand the supply chain and how  products are made and sourced-  then apply - current policies-  one would then understand how profitable spreads are created. I'll leave it at that.

Cheers....

Yup.... revise the  - 43 101  - RLG.
Would love to see a 3D  colored cut out of the Rowan depoist with the colorations assigned to GOLD 7.5 GRAM - GOLD 1.5m and under - Mg + Mn values - see how the secondary minerals fill the voids outside the gold ores.

Pharma grade Mg

And... Mg is also used for rocket fuels.
Not your typicall - salt metal.

Not investment advice.
Even I, need ot see what amount og Mg Rowan could host.
Hence-  updating the 43 101 - would be a perfect move for RLG  to do - over the winter months.
