Valeura Energy Inc. is an upstream oil and gas company engaged in the production, development, and exploration of petroleum and natural gas in the Gulf of Thailand and the Thrace Basin of Turkiye. It holds a 100% operating interest in license B5/27 containing the producing Jasmine and Ban Yen oil fields. It holds an operated 70% working interest in license G1/48 containing the Manora oil field, which produces approximately 2,935 barrels per day (bbls/d) of medium-weight sweet crude oil. The Company holds interests ranging from 63% through 100% in various leases and licenses in the Thrace basin. The Company also operates Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel Aurora, location at Nong Yao field, offshore Gulf of Thailand.

There are a few CDN International public Co's that are strong enough (PAREX, Frontera) to do something here but they operate in Columbia and other areas.

VLE has stated that they want to continue to be international player but they should be challenged for their rationale. The prizes are large in international ops, the competition is real and the costs are generally not in the realm for a  public jr..  If they can pull one off, I will be ecstatic, but I don't see it.

There are numerous CDN PrivCo's nearing the end of their investor timelines (eg. seeking liquidity) which would find the VLE cash and international lands (for sale) as a deal equivalent to a financing.  Check out Headwater (HWX) who was a stranded CDN public with cash and no relevant management. They sold to a CDN team and a 5+ bagger. (to date).
